Over Hill and Dale + Shepherd.
« on: December 26, 2018, 11:13:18 AM »
We have bought the game 'Over Hill and Dale'. Played several times, but there are not many possibilities in the game. What a shame.
But we have taken the shepherd from the expansion of the regular Carcassonne and played with 'Over Hill and Dale'.
The rules are exactly the same as in the ordinary Carcassonne. If a stable is placed, a shepherd can be placed on the next turn. If the meadow is enlarged, a sheep chip can be drawn.
When pulling the wolf the shepherd and the sheep go from the pasture. When counting them, the sheep that are drawn on the field are also counted.

That was fun to play!

Interesting idea and it works thematically too.

Maybe I've not played OHnD enough to notice, but I've quite liked its focus on smaller cities that are easy to complete after a turn or two.

I believe that you can purchase blank tiles for this spin-off, that will allow your game to be enhanced if you use to make new tiles.

The Phantoms and Little Houses can be used too.
