This one's certainly new to me.  8)

I would guess this is a Russian only release. Like most countries,  they have variant releases of base games and expansions.

It would be nice to own this variants from a collector's point of view.  :(y)

World record holder for a single game of Carcassonne using 10 007 tiles!

I don't mind it's in Russian, if anyone finds. A tile is a tile. :)

So close to 1000 tiles now (non-starter, castle, abbey etc)

Sorry I really don't get this. The CAR lists a total of only 529.

I think 10,000 would take about a week to play. Is this something you would hope to do?

Haven't decided what to do yet other than going for the World Record. Atm. it's a hobby of mine collecting tiles. When the times comes, I might ask one of the local game clubs to help me host the game.  :(y)

Here are some tiles - ok these are not landscape tiles but that gives you a feeling how much tiles you would need if you like to get 10.000   ;D

Perhaps you need an extra room...

I've actually seen that picture before.  :(y)

It's kinda cool that instead of dreaming of money piles we have these.  :@

10000 tiles would be 100x100 square if one ever managed to fill it precisely. That would be 4.5x4.5 meters if the tiles measure 4.5 cm square.
And a photo taken from above.  :meeple:

Actually, no. I have the Russian copy of the base game. The tiles are VERY different than the mainstream release. Much thinner and with a much larger radius on the rounded corners. You would not be able to mix them.

Can't say whether that is what is in this particular set with WoF or not though.
I just drew the perfect tile for my MonKnighThieFarmer!

That is unfortunate to hear. Kinda like the idea can mix and match worldwide.
This does arouse the curiousity of how you obtained it.  8) Lived / living there? Ebay?

Such a long time ago I traveled abroad. Back then it was mostly collecting paintings. Today, it would be the toy store and fares.  :meeple:

They differs also with back side: for English version we have "C" (Carcassonne), for Russian - "K" (Каркассон).
