Title: Tiles not aligned correctly
Post by: sgbea13 on March 30, 2020, 11:55:20 PM
Hi

First time poster here.

I bought this game directly from Amazon and I love it. However, there are 3 or 4 tiles that don't line up correctly. Please see the attachments. Is this normal?

Hi sgbea13,

Welcome to the forum and congrats for your first post!

Hope you enjoy all the stuff you may find here.  ;D

Regarding your question, misalignment in tiles is not a common thing but you can find it from tile to time.

I have a misaligned copy of C1 German Cathedrals (see attachment) that you can notice clearly due to the symbol on the tile. Some positions of the tiles also show the misalignment too.

Cheers!

I guess that it is not a misalignment. It looks like a cutting issue. Have a look on the expansion symbol

Good point!

I think they punch first and then print on top... otherwise we would notice issues on the edges due to stretching the printed surface when cutting... What do you think?

I'm just thinking out loud after seeing our fan-expansion tiles printed on blank tile sheets.

I emailed the manufacturer directly and they have posted me out replacement tiles free of charge.

Sorry, I don’t know the Order. Maybe they print first and cut then or vice versa. Maybe we have a professional here in the forum
