GLH510 vs Rich_The_Fish     :green-meeple: 87:83  :red-meeple:
Rich_The_Fish vs GLH          :red-meeple: 96:97  :green-meeple:

What a game, i thought after the first one (not knowing what came with the second one. )

I was warned from Rich winning streak. So i played very defensive and tried to block some meeples. But my meeple where blocked instead and Rich went away without problems. But the Midgame was mine. I got all 6(!) cloister and put all the rubbish tiles to my blocked meeple. I got the last rrff tile with my laste draw. Gave me 5 points and a 4 point victory.

Next game i planned more offensive, but right at the beginning Rich closed two nice cities with pennants, started a long road and placed a good farmer. In between I was around 30 points behind. I had to go maximum risk. Now Rich drawed only the wrong tiles. So 3 meeples were blocked and he run out of meeple. 10 tiles to go I placed 2 farmers for the main farm. One joined but the second had to wait till the last tile. Could not join, but oh wonder i was 1 point ahead at the end.

Thank you for the exiting games and sorry for the wrong gratulations in second game

The result of my match against Chooselife was 1 - 1 (in both games the start player lost).

Game 1

Chooselife :yellow-meeple: 63 (start player)
Dan :blue-meeple: 108

Lots of trapping and very careful play in this one. In the end, Chooselife got the crrf he needed to complete his big city but gave away the farm in the process (which he then tied with me). Similarly, I was in need of a ccff and got the last one which completed a hefty city for me too. At one point, Chooselife had a technical error and accidentally placed a meeple on a road branch. We carried on regardless, but blamed it on the mouse, and his thief remained on the board for the rest of the game.

Game 2

Dan :blue-meeple: 90 (start player)
Chooselife :yellow-meeple: 92

Chooselife played a great game here and deserved the win. I was on the back foot almost from the start with two monks that never came back to me. As Chooselife was closing me down, I managed to make a cfff gap while there were still 4 or possibly even all 5 of them left to be played. However, I didn't draw a single one and so lost 2 meeples for the whole game for a grand total of just 16 points! >:( Still, I was lucky in other places, and only just managed to share the farm. However, the points that Chooselife had won elsewhere (especially on roads!) more than made up for the points deficit and he took the game by a few points.

Well done Chooselife, and thanks for two great games (well, three if you include the other one but I've already posted about that elsewhere)! :(y)

At one point, Chooselife had a technical error and accidentally placed a meeple on a road branch. We carried on regardless, but blamed it on the mouse, and his thief remained on the board for the rest of the game.
Indeed it was the mouse duplicating the left button but the worst part was that my wife happened to be watching and told me "I told you to buy a new one yesterday....."  :-[ :-X :-\ I played the rest of the game(s) with one of those mini-mini laptop mouses.
Either way completely deserved win for Dan.

I was the starting player.

khalidqasrawi  :red-meeple: 81 : 78  :yellow-meeple: Adrornalin
Adrornalin  :yellow-meeple: 89 : 58  :red-meeple: khalidqasrawi

Adrornalin led all the way in both games.  First game was more even and on the last move I joined his long road and that was just enough for the win.  I should have had a better advantage because I trapped a meeple of his early in the game.  Second game was really bad for me.  I got too possessive about a couple of cities that I wanted to own.  I left myself with a CCCC and a CCCR to finish each of them and sadly, I picked up neither of them, so with 4 meeples out of action, I was in no position to challenge for the farm, but I needed more than that anyway!

Well played Adrornalin.

Did you play the second game?
No, and I suppose we won't play it at all. I don't think What If? would like to play Carcassonne these days (at least for a few weeks).

Another round game played, another tie for me...

 91 :yellow-meeple: Halfling - Merlin_89  :red-meeple: 114
 77 :red-meeple: Merlin_89 - Halfling  :yellow-meeple: 95

Game one, everything went according to (MY) plan...
Game two, everything got s**t... something went horribly wrong. I took some meeple risk, tiles hated me. But Halfling - huge congrats, I stuck, I couldn't move... You did a lot to help it, respect for it.

Yes, I'm sorry. I have been in the process of moving house this last week and have had a lot of other things to deal with too. I will get things back on track ASAP, hopefully with What If? still on board. Apologies for the hold up!

:violet-meeple: Leven vs :green-meeple: What If? 95:77

We've just played it. The final score was:

:black1-meeple: What If? (starting) vs :violet-meeple: Leven 63:75

What If went all in to claim majority on the main farm and in the large city in the South, but by doing this he found himself without any meeple in his supply for the final phase of the game. And he had no chance to reclaim any of his followers as they were standing in incompletable features. This gave me the opportunity to take the lead in the end.

Did you guys manage to organise it?
