Title: Carcassonne: Print and Play Demo - Official Version
Post by: t2k on January 24, 2021, 02:53:08 AM
During a Google search, I found a link to a Demo-Print-and-Play version of Carcassonne.  It is copyrighted by Hans im Glück Verlags-GmbH, 2020.  Rules, tiles, scorepad and assembly instructions are included in the nine page PDF.  They recommend gluing the tiles to heavier stock, but some ink-jet printers will handle flexible card stock, which may work also.  This demo version contains only 48 tiles including the start tile, and requires only 5 meeples per player.

Here is the link:   https://www.hans-im-glueck.de/_Resources/Persistent/ad61310df34c6546a94213079763bc3d3eb389db/Carc_Demo_EN.pdf

Introduce Carcassonne to a new gamer while saving the expense of the commercial version.

Hi t2k,

This PnP version was released in April 2020 during the "Stay at Home" campaign. Hans im Glück published downloadable rules in German and in English, the latter provided by ZMG as you can see in the link you provided.

The 48 tiles have the same size (3.5 x 3.5 mm) and distribution as Carcassonne Für 2. So you can try this one with the Demos-Print-and-Play rules.

If you want to get small meeples for this version, you can find 12mm meeples (the regular ones are 16mm meeples) in 12 colors on spielematerial.de:

Have fun!
