The Marketplace / Re: [WTB] clothbag with scoreboard on it
« on: May 20, 2017, 10:31:10 AM »
Hmm, your version didn't included an scoreboard in the form of a bag? That's strange because i have a dutch version, purchased in march of this year, that does have the clothbag scoreboard...

Official Rules / Re: Scoring Question
« on: February 22, 2017, 11:52:36 AM »
Yes you can. They are different projects. Every tile in a project is scored once. There are two different projects so they can both be scored. So the key is the projects that are finished, not the number of times a tile is counted.

My Dutch is slightly worse than my German, but I believe it says "We recommend using this expansion only with the base game of Carcassonne...
We hope to have Carcassonne: Circus in stores in the next 2 months."

It says they recommend to play it with Carcassonne base game 2.0. But, that it can be played with Carc 1 and the existing expansions altough the front of the tiles is different.

And your right about the delivery status, they hope to have it in stores in 2 months time.

« on: February 10, 2017, 07:16:40 AM »

Our last 3 mayors are famous for the following reasons, but none wore a key.

1.  Last one forbid the police from interrupting a riot.
2.  One before her stole gift cards meant for charity.
3.  Probably our most famous mayor was played by Aidan Gillen on HBO's "The Wire".

Some cities award the "key to the city" to a citizen that does something great.  The mayor awards this, but now you have me wondering if it is worn.  I also wonder if it is made of chocolate.
 ;)

Maybe they should reinstate the key with your mayors. With the big, heavy necklace offcourse. If they carry the burden all the time, they might not be breaking the law. Altough, then you wouldn't have famous mayors anymore ;)

The key of chocolate really made me laugh, great idea :)

A&M definitely has the best color box.  I'm not sure about that mayor though.  What door does that key open?  Is he some sort of 1200s Flava Flav?   O0

I'm shocked about your key question! It's the key from the town/city he is mayor from. Since he is the boss and all that. I don't now about other countries, but in mine the mayor still weares the key from his town. Altough it is a big, i think silver, oversized necklace now a days. But that is still THE key.

But to be on topic now: My favorite box is also abbey and mayor. It's not shouty and has a nice color :)

I don't do publisher completionism. Infact, i do the opposite (if that makes sense). I only have 999 games, games. Since i'm dutch ;) And i only want 999 games. Ergo; carcassonne that can be bought in my home country. I know, one off the few games that doesn't have language issues in its game components and i don't want outside versions. But still, it's the principil :) Plus, i consider my collection complete now altough i don't have the rarest items. Because they weren't published by 999 games.

General / Re: What's your favourite piece of Carcassonne wood?
« on: January 16, 2017, 10:03:26 AM »
The first thing i was thinking was the phantom. He is my absolute favorite! The look, the purpose, i'm in love!

But he is not made of wood so i chose the builder. I like his purpose to and his looks are very intriguing. I've teached the game to many people now a days and there is not a same interpretation of his looks as of yet. 'Mickey Mouse' is my favorite (that one is from my mom).

Cool! I'm probably coming to look, together with my friends. We live near Eindhoven ;) I could'nt get them so far as to join the competition, nor my husband. But they are probably right: watching is enough for the first time coming to such an event :)

Probably because they can't offer the spare parts service for very long if they sell all their (now) complete sets. Personally, i think this is a great service and it would be a shame if it would stop.

The Marketplace / Re: WTB Wheel of Fortune

After perusing marktplaats.nl, I managed to nab a new and sealed Dutch WoF in the end!

It was very tempting to get the Big Box, but it was only the language-free WoF starter tile + River II swaying me! I will  try to gain a replacement International piece, however the worst case is that I create then print out a transparent adhesive sheet with language free iconography on it and overlay it. Failing that, I'll just have to learn some Dutch  ;D

So hopefully I'll post in the 'What the Postman brought me' thread in the next week or two with WoF. I ordered another Broken Token insert as well so all my collection, sans unwieldy things like the tile tower, can fit in two reasonable sized boxes!
I can help you with the dutch if you are stuck with it ;)

Rosco has given all the right answers already. But what i'm wondering about is how the two black meeple can be legally placed in picture nr 4. Since they are directly next to eachother i don't see how they started out as different projects  (roads in this case). That would mean that one off the black meeple is there illegal and therefore the points would go to both black and yellow.

I agree with Paul that it depends on how many expansions you use. But it also depends on your own playing style. I rarely put my meeple on the wheel, but my husband does it very frequently. Especially when you play with a fairly large playing group and just a couple expansions it can be worth it because then you almost always have enough meeple anyway.

Ah, and i just finished painting my second yellow abbot grey :(

But still, nice that they punt them out there. Would be nice if they would be selling the standard coulours to, those where harder to get then the alternative coulours...

The Marketplace / Re: Ordering online at Cundco (HiG)
« on: May 11, 2016, 06:02:19 AM »
So i waited for my newest order to reply in this topic. It was the third time i ordered from CundCo (i think), and so far so good. This time they were really fast. I placed my order on april 30 and payed it on the first of may. On the fourth i got an email that my order was shipped. So i was shocked and very happy. I think it was the long weekend that made it last until yesterday to receive the order at my house. In the end today, because i wasnt home yesterday. But still, very happy!

Only downside, the order wasnt complete... they forgot to package one of the things i ordered, although it was checked on the paper order. But, i send them an email about it and they responded within 10 minutes with two apolagies and an conformation that they will send me the missing pieces. So all in all, still a (very) good expercience with CundCo  :)
