How to set up a phone alert

I recently bought a new android phone (same manufacturer) and have noticed that the phone no longer gives me a message saying it's now my turn.
Does anyone know what I need to do to set this alert up please?

Hi mjwalker,

Can you give more details on the App you are using? It is not my case but people using the same App can maybe shed some light on any configuration settings for example?
