Title: HEROQUEST 25th anniversary.

Although the kickstarter was followed by a lot of controversy and have moved onto another platform, I find it an interesting project, I have always heard good things about the old edition from friends. Maybe I'll enroll before the deadline too ...

The campaign ends in about 2 hours.
I purchased a copy of the game of 110 plus several optional content, so did my 2 friends and we split the shipping costs.

That is awesome. I did check this out few weeks ago. Albeit, never played the boardgame only the Amiga computer version, it was tempting placing an order.
Unfortunately prior reading the article my boardgame funds was already spent on Carcassonne.  :meeple:

Hopefully my cousin, my sister and our friends will acknowledge the fun of boardgames enough to join in and pay. Here in Sweden, most of the games we want to try lies around an average of 80 Euro or 110 USD.

I had HeroQuest growing up and totally loved it! It was an amazing game and the game responsible in part for my love of board games in general as well as dice rolling and Roleplaying games. A year or two later my older brother got Advance HeroQuest which is also a wicked game!

I really would love to have these two games again!

Sorry about the necro, but this is oddly relevant today. I stumbled upon this thread when I saw it linked at the bottom of the page on another thread I was reading. Saw that it was 2014, so old, old news. Then, a scant few hours later, I see a brand-new post on the BoardGameGeek facebook page asking about this same project. How bizarre.

Quevy, did you ever get your games, or have you gotten any kind of status update in the last several months? It seems that GameZone was actively and knowingly violating the HeroQuest copyright and pre-selling the game without a legal right to do so, and thus taking everyone's money in exchange for nothing but heartbreak.

That's just evil.

Just a Bill, it's very unlikely, that quevy will answer to you, given that he was last active here on 15.08.2016.

I saw that post on BGG Facebook too and read it with some interest.

Having played the original Hero Quest recently (and loved it) and then seeing how much it costs via eBay, I posted on BGG Facebook to ask whether anyone there thought there might ever be a reprint of it given how fond of it most people seem to be (especially if they find it for $3 in a charity shop and then discover that it contains all the expansions, $1000 in cash, a selection of winning and in-date lottery tickets and several kilograms of gold bullion). Several people pointed me to the 25th anniversary reprint, but it was clear from the comments that it was never going to happen. The next best thing seemed to be to get hold of a copy of Arcadia Quest but a quick search suggested that that was pretty pricey too. Certainly too expensive to consider it as a viable consolation.

The best thing about Heroquest is the BRAWDSWARD!
