Really exiting and enjoyable game, right to the last tile. Although, I gave away 2 points on my last tile by expanding my cloister rather then one of my farms, I still won it by 2 points. I got lucky, finishing and winning the big cathedral city, but aenima was on my heels with very (!) good meeple management (I trapped two of his in the 4 point city very early) regarding the farms.

group B: Hounk - aenima

It was the first game which I looked at. MrNumbers hosted this game and looked also at it.
It was interesting to look at, because with this result of the game - we would get the 2nd participant from group B who would take part in round 2.
If aenima have won the game - then MrNumbers would take part in round 2 as the 2nd participant from group B.
If Hounk have won the game - then he would take part in round 2 as the 2nd participant from group B.
So I decided to follow the fight for this win - sometimes Hounk had the most points, but often aenima had a few more points than Hounk during the game...
The happy winner is Hounk - he is now in round 2. I am sorry for MrNumbers - he is actual the 3rd in group B. aenima - you have played great - sorry for your lost.

Yeah, dramatical game. Aenima had very good chances to win it.

Now I am out of knock-out phase (at least, MrsNumbers has good chances to reach it

I actually thought very much myself, that aenima would win the game. He sure played better for most of the game, regarding the handicap of having trapped 2 meeples from early on in the game. I was much more often in danger of running out of meeples, even didn't place a farmer on the CCCC, when I got it (although it was very tempting, with two finished cities granted and in the end, it had a full set of 4), because of that. I also made some mistakes in endgame, which might have broken my neck in a game that tight. But I disagree, that it was just the first game, which cost you to much, MrNumbers. As our group was just determined by wins, not by secondary scores, you would have had just the same chance, if you would have had won against Merlin_89.

Just finished my game with aenima

A very tense, close game that could have gone either way. Unfinished cities made it close and the end farming also made a difference.
