Yes it's odd. Time for web sites, software, forums etc are usually GMT with a checkbox for daylight savings time. This forum software I just noticed has a pick list for the location (nearest me is America/Vancouver) then an offset in hours, which was zero. So I left the location as is, and changed the offset. Let me know if it is working for everyone outside of Pacific time.

This is what I like to do, exploring in my 4WD Toyota. That photo was taken in Moab Utah in 2014. We travel all over western USA and Canada.

The domain doesn't expire until next year, it had nothing to do with that, the text at the bottom that said it was going to expire was just more phishing BS. Again, the problem wasn't on our side, it was likely a DNS attack that affected a bunch of infected computers (otherwise we'd all have the same issue, and only some did), or perhaps one of the higher tier DNS companies got attacked and fixed it.

2. Your internet provider's DNS service is suspect. If you know how, change your ethernet card's IPv4 DNS entries from auto to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which belong to google. Then try the address again, it should work normally and not be directed.

You could of course google this, but this might help. https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using#windows Making it sound like you need to change the ethernet card makes it unnecessarily scary. It can be done via the standard windows interface (say I writing this on a linux machine).

Ah nice tutorial! thanks!

carols has a good suggestion, you should also scan your computers for malware anyhow with more than one product. Some good free ones are MalwareBytes Antimalware Free and SuperAntispyware, and a bunch of other free online scans from Kaspersky, Avast, Trend Micro Housecall, etc.

I confirmed: the domain is still under my control, as well as the DNS is still correct. This leaves only 2 likely options that I can think of:

1. A virus or malware can change your browser so that it redirects legitimate pages to fake ad pages. If you type in the browser address bar (not the search bar): ww2.carcassonnecentral.com do you see that same page, or does it give you a 404 - not found error?  If you are infected it will show you that page, if you are not infected it will give you the 404 error. That subdomain does not exist in my DNS table, thus it will produce a 404 error.
2. Your internet provider's DNS service is suspect. If you know how, change your ethernet card's IPv4 DNS entries from auto to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which belong to google. Then try the address again, it should work normally and not be directed.

It's not built-in, but for my work I often use this free service to send files of any size to others, the only downside is you have to keep the browser tab open until the other person receives it: https://www.reep.io/

Very interesting! I'm always looking for good services like this to save a little money here and there, thank you for posting!

I checked the DNS and the site here, patches are up to date. I'm not seeing the same issue.
It could be that your own browser is compromised.
If you type in www.carcassonnecentral.com by hand on the address bar (NOT the search bar) does it correctly go to our site? What if you try it in a different web browser?

The more information I have, the easier it will be to diagnose.

Embedded video
In order to make it work, posters just need to put the link to the video, no [tag] necessary.
Right now I've only enabled embedded Facebook, Google Maps, Instagram, Vimeo, and Youtube (both long and short links). If anyone has any further video sites to add, please feel free to ask me and I can add them.
