Stone Age Anniversary will be $79.99 and release in Q4.
Hello Aenima, the official rules of the English version have not yet been published by Z-Man, so I limit myself to briefly translate the few innovations of the winter version.1. when you acquire a building whose cost is given, you can decide to add a stone to the required materials and get the relative 5 points more; similarly, when you acquire a civilization card, you can add a gold bar to the number of materials needed to acquire it, and get 6 gold points in addition to the card;2. wild animal cards: they must be mixed with the other civilization cards, but only after having placed the first four on the board (there can not be one of these cards in the first round); at the beginning of the next rounds, when one of the spaces left free could fill up, one of these cards might appear: in this case, one puts it aside and continues to fill the remaining spaces; from this turn the wild animal card enters the game and until it is eliminated, each player in the dice roll will start with the handicap indicated on the card (-1, -2 or -3) regardless of the number of dice thrown; to eliminate the card and its malus it is necessary to fill the spaces on the card with as many workers as there are players (therefore 2 to 4 spaces depending on the number of players): in the placement phase everyone on their turn can place a worker ( only one) on this card; however, if at least one free space is left in the next round, the player can place a second worker there (this is clearly an exception to the general rule of placing this game); once the placement of all the workers is finished, before phase 2, it is checked if there are still free spaces on this card: if there are any, the card remains in play with the relative malus and the workers placed on that card will remain imprisoned until at the next round (only advantage: they will not have to be fed in phase 3); if instead all the spaces are occupied, the card is eliminated and with it its negative effect and the players will roll the dice to get the relative reward (one die for each worker present on the card) indicated on the card itself (any value of the die is obtained , you can always decide to exchange that reward with 3 victory points);3. the igloos: they are placed next to the board; these are simply buildings that can be acquired at any time as an alternative to classical buildings; obviously once acquired, these buildings are no longer available, but the game continues normally; in the final calculation of the multipliers of buildings, the igloos do NOT count
grazie Cletus!
ZMAN has updated the Stone Age Anniversary product page. I emailed ZMAN about their Upcoming Games Page needing an update and they did so. I also asked about more news on the anniversary edition. They replied “An article about Stone Age Anniversary edition will be up soon to show off more of the differences so keep an eye out!”
