Title: What on earth ?!...
Post by: DIN0 on April 20, 2020, 11:51:44 AM
Now I know Die Kornkreise is one of the most pricey expansions, but this seems a little excessive... :o

In a few years, you may trade some tiles for a house...  :o

Come on, you know me better than that.
I'd only trade tiles for a castle from Germany in the south of France.

I was thinking about Dan selling your house a few months back...

Judging from the photo, it is an unpunched, still shrinkwrapped sheat of tiles. However, I think no matter how pristine, it is simply not worth such a ridiculous amount of money - I am not sure what the seller was thinking ???... nobody is going to pay that much, people already think the actual market price is too high.

Last time I checked there was one copy for €99. I think this is just an "unforgivable" typo.

Yes, I think I agree with this. Nobody in their right mind, or even their wrong one, is going to charge almost €1k for this expansion, rare as it is. Not unless it comes in the form of a book that has been hand-made using traditional methods...

Perhaps they'll make a shelf using traditional methods for the book to go in.

Or maybe just another box to put the book box in.

If the box is shaped to look like a book it could be the Carcassonne Big Book Box Book Box.

If I forked out for that I'd expect some kind of box to keep it in though...

UPDATE:
It has been almost 3 months, so I contacted the seller. The answer I got was: "Sorry, that was only a dummy to place a picture for a sold item."
I am not  sure what that means, to be honest.

If somebody can clarify it to me, you are welcome to do so.

Sounds like they already sold it, but wanted to shared a photo so put a silly price so no one bought it.

You'd think there were other ways to share photos.

Well that is a strange way to go about it ??? Making an entire legit listing.
