It was a good game! I found myself behind early in my second straight match needing to scratch and claw back again, but this time it was not far enough.

It could be even a draw, if CarcinFool would place his last tile to complete city in the left lower corner (7 points instead of 6).
However, Monwil could take that farm instead of CarcinFool, so again 1 point difference

No then red would have caputred the field and 6 instead 5 points then for red

You both missed the same thing I originally missed...

I did the same calculation about the last move and figured it was either +7 for finishing my city and +6 for monwil getting the field or +6 for me getting the field and +5 for her in city points.

However I was tossing and turning most of the night because as I was laying in bed falling asleep I realized I forgot to account for the +1 for the **King bonus** I would have received for the first move that would have finished my city. That would have been +8 for me and +6 for her (field) resulting in a draw.

OK, so despite living not just in the same time zone, but in the same house as Mrs_danisthirty, we still haven't played our game. Hopefully she will be available this evening for a match (with someone other than me) but we're going out for dinner with her family this evening as it was her birthday yesterday.

I on the other hand have scheduled matches for next week against monwil on Tuesday 6pm (Canada)/ 11pm (UK) and farin on Thursday 9pm (UK)/ 10pm (Czech).

Although the first group has already finished (well done guys!) and another is just one game away (also well done), it'd be nice if we could at least manage to be one of the first 3 or 4 groups to finish...

There was also a post here of rfielder vs. Safari (group D of World Cup) but I believe Decar moved it to the correct location. Carcinfool and kettlefish's responses also appear to have been removed.
