I discovered the game Alhambra.
set of tiles for building palaces, gardens, serail etc... quite well done and friendly.
The game has several interesting extensions.
Game of Dirk Henn and Wolfgang Panning at Queen Games.
good game.

I have thought about buying this after watching the tabletop episode on YouTube. Haven't got around to it yet but looks fun.

I quite like Alhambra, it's better with more players.
Queen games has just updated the artwork.

The special edition Rich has listed isn't Alhambra but a selection of spin offs. Like a card game and variants. Not had chance to play any of them!
