HiG's presence and official rulings
« on: August 21, 2013, 11:42:03 AM »
Since HiG has a presence here now, I was wondering if we could approach them about having a board where they could give us official rulings on questions that we post.  This would probably require some greater management, but I wonder if they'd be willing to post answers to those questions, say once a month, or every other month.  Questions could be sent to the moderator and posted consisely on the board, that way we wouldn't have the same question six times, and if someone asks a question that's already been answered, they could be pointed to the answer elsewhere.  If we could do that, it would eliminate the middle man.

CKorfmann,
HiG - they have not much time to go online here at the forums CarcC + CarcF.
I have my regular telephone call with Georg Wild - HiG and once a year I travel to Spiel at Essen and there I have my appointment with Georg Wild, Christof Tisch - for direct discussion about the rules.

Georg Wild and I decided that is the best and easiest way for clarification of rules - the direct talking by call and the meeting.

The process of getting rules clarifications is definitely much better now than the old days.

Before I go to the Spiel 2013 in Essen, I will put together all outstanding questions with obervet, so that I can get all the clarifications from HiG. With some luck I will get some answers from Spielbox too, but I am not sure...

I would be interested to know if Spielbox have any plans of reprinting The Cathars?

Just for the record.  I appreciate the work that kettlefish does.  I didn't mean for it to sound like I didn't in case anyone got that impression.  I just thought it might be possible since they have a profile here.

They have no time to come regulary to the forums.

Their work is to test new games, to write the rules and to publish
the games  - especially more new stuff for the Carcassonne family...

I have now my appointments on Thursday 24.10.2013 at Spiel 2013 in Essen:

10:30 am - with HiG - Georg Wild - clarification of HiG rules
04:00 pm - with Spielbox - Nostheide and Conrad - clarification of Spielbox rules
