did you ask me where I found HaG? buy it from spain... is cheap! and it includes king and scout

Yes, it was me :) And my chatting with local manager was before you posted your purchase and before jungleboy posted information about new version. By the way, I have King and Scout already :)
Now I have a dilemma: by now in Spain or wait for a new version from Z-man ???

See.. This is what I dislike about Finland and the Finnish way of choosing names for products or movies....  >:(

"Hunter and Gatherer".... I was like.. WHAT is this??? Had to Google it.. and turns out it's the English version of the Finnish "Kivikausi" game... so... The Finns took the name "hunter and gatherer" and changed it into "stone age"....  :o So here that game is known as "Stone Age"....... SOOO frustrating..  :o Why not just keep the same name meaning in Finnish? Why go Rambo and change it??

Same thing with movies.. If someone asks me, hey have you seen this and that movie... I cannot say yes unless I Google it first and see what it was called at Finnish.... Coz we change the name to something not even remotely close!!!  :o

"Sex and the City" --> "Single Life" (Finnish: sinkkuelämää)

that was just on top of my head... WHY CHANGE ??? :(

Frustrating..

I would wait and see what the new tiles look like and then decide which version you like better.

I agree with that. I think the winter edition is beautiful.

Thank goodness I already have H&G and the Scout. I would not want to make the decision over this new artwork.

In general I don't have an issue regarding new artwork for the spin-offs. The expansions for them are limited so the impact is near nil. Messing with the base game though imposes a whole different level of impact.

I just drew the perfect tile for my MonKnighThieFarmer!

Does the German version of Winter Edition include The Gingerbread Man or is that only the Zman version?
The German version of the Winter Edition doesn't include The Gingerbread Man. The mini is only available through the CundCo Shop.

And... What about the animals (ZMan's)?

The animals yes. But the were never considered as expansion(probably due to a lack of rules). The only thing that takes them apart from the rest is a diferent tile name.

ZMG have posted product details on their website. Zmangames.com/product-details.php?id=1713

Seems that you get 72 base game tiles (instead of 79 in RGG), 12 bonus tiles, 1 scoreboard, 5 50/100 score tiles, 10 wooden hunts and 10 wooden discs (same as RGG). A big difference is the number of followers: 40 instead of 30 meeple. That means 2 extra followers per person and brings it in line with the usual Carcassonne number of followers.

No mention of Scout but the artwork looks almost identical at the moment... Even the backs!

I don't like it. They're changing the game, not just changing the art. The game had only five Followers/player for a reason. And the lack of inclusion of the Scout is a big mistake since it's not likely to be printed as a stand alone expansion again. Poor form, HiG. I disapprove.  :( :( :(

I think that this actually IS the old artwork. :D Probably they didn't change the picture yet.

The extra meeples can be easily remedied... but not the scout tiles =(

Is it possible the scout tiles are included in the 12 bonus tiles?

The twelve bonus tiles are a main component of the game. They aren't extra. The Scout tiles don't belong in the bonus tile pile.
