From what I gather, this can occur when the website has expired or being renewed. If this happened recently, it could explain the reroute to ww2 and thus nothing to worry about once the server gets active again.

Should it still point to ww2, one can restart the router to reset its cache.

The domain doesn't expire until next year, it had nothing to do with that, the text at the bottom that said it was going to expire was just more phishing BS. Again, the problem wasn't on our side, it was likely a DNS attack that affected a bunch of infected computers (otherwise we'd all have the same issue, and only some did), or perhaps one of the higher tier DNS companies got attacked and fixed it.

I tried 3 ISP on 3 devices and they had the same problem. They all worked today. It felt like a high level DNS problem or perhaps the hosting provider. Kettlefish had more problems today. She wasn't happy to try a dns flush, so it's hard to determine where her problem is. Perhaps her ISP is slower updating its dns cache. I hope we can help her tomorrow when im back from friends to work out how to resolve for her and others.

Hi all,
at the moment - I have access to the right side. So I am online again at CarcC.
The other PC doesn't like CarcC till now.

We will see how long I am able to have contact to CarcC.

I've reported the ww2. thing to google chrome as a phishing thing.

A DNS attack would have the same effect, yes.

Important is to distinguish domain name and server. If server is down for some reason or does not exist, some providers have the domain name linked to an alternative site often used for parked domain names.
