I use a knackered laptop with a 17-inch screen and no "u" key. The battery doesn't work anymore and the power supply is so dodgy that if you breathe too close to it the laptop turns itself off.

Yep, Carcassonne Central is fairly well represented on Facebook. Scott (or whoever looks after the Facebook page) does an excellent job of finding interesting Carcassonne-related things to post about quite regularly so I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem linking to live-streamed Carcassonne matches if he thought they would be of interest.

Yes, I may be terrible at visiting the forums regularly, but I post on the Facebook page almost every day (excepting days where there is nothing to post about).

I would be happy to link to a live match, but I'm not sure that I will know about the live match fast enough since I have trouble finding time to visit the forums. I check my e-mail several times per day, so maybe somebody needs to e-mail me a link and when the game will take place?

Same for me, but for me it was about an hour ago. Wasn't sure about the timezone thing. I am on Stockholm-Berlin writing this post it's 17:35.

If you don't connect while the game is in the "New Game" phase, you can not connect. One the game is started, connections are ignored.

However - this is twice I have had the game hang while others were connected. No idea if this is a function of my setup, or related to having spectators link in.

Until this is resolved, I suggest that nobody except the two players and whomever is hosting the game should connect.

In the meantime, I would like to set up a game between two players, with several others linked in. The goal is to determine if the issue is with my setup, or the fact that there are others watching. To make this a valid test, someone else needs to host that game. Anyone willing to assist in this experimen as a host?

I opened up an online chat which will be up 24-7. Unfortunately it lacks username registration.

This could work as a temp-solution and does not take up much space. I can even make the chat window smaller or you can simply resize the browser window.
