Wow PgMaster that looks awesome :D How long did it take you to play?

Tell us something about the game. Were there any big battles for features (looks like there are some high scoring cities)? Any really lucky tiles at key moments?

Thanks for posting!

Wow! Nice! Did you play with all the expansion rules? or just the tiles?

Must be you kept the Wheel of Fortune separate from the landscape?

I just drew the perfect tile for my MonKnighThieFarmer!

It took around 9 hours to play. We started with the rivers and then all three of us agreed upon the best place to place the city from the count expansion.  We did keep the wheel of fortune tile separate, but used it off to the side. We chose at the beginning of the game that the king and robber Barron would be worth 10 points each at end of game.  The borders of the table that we played on closes any features that come up next to it. With the princess and dragon, whoever pulls the dragon tile rolls a 6 sided dice and moves the dragon.

There was a big castle towards the beginning of the game that was fought over some. For the most part my girlfriend and I played nicely for my sons benefit. Well, she plays nicer than me most of the time.

Towards the end of the game, I was working on a castle that ended up being 15 tiles that my son closed with a siege piece  he loved getting all the goods, claiming the title of king, and reducing the value of the castle for me!!  That was a great move by him.

*also used the catapult just to launch at each other. Didn't want to chase followers and other items across the board.*

Question:
Do you mean with castle a city or do you mean a castle (from Bridges, Castles, and Bazaars)?

Sorry, yes. I meant city. We got used to calling them castles accidentally from the beginning and trying to re-train ourselves to calling them cities.

In our latest MegaCarc game we used almost all expansions that I have: all official ones except Games Quarterly, Siege, Cathars, and Plague. Total 24 different expansions (plus a second copy of River II).
And then we added 10 fan expansions: Treasure Hunt, Family Feud, Breweries, Outposts, Medieval Expansion, Fellowship of the Ring, Lord of the Manor, Wizard of Oz, Marketplace, Archery.
Total number of tiles was 518.
Only leaving about 70 tiles in my Carcassonne case. Never thought it would fit on the table. (see attached photo in my Meet the Members story)
My website:

although the games page is yet to be started

Wicke, I bet that was an amazing game. I've just bought the mini expansions The Flier, The Messages, The Ferries, The Goldmines, Mage and Witch, and the Robber. Each one of those come with a corn circle crop tile in each box making up the corn circles. I also am waiting to receive the rivers II, the plague, and theriomorphic grande expansion. Once I get those in it'll be time for another game.

What is the best way to make the fan made expansion tiles. I would love to make some of those but I want them to have the right look and feel to them.

I first started printing fan made expansion tiles when we got a new printer in 2008.
It's a wax printer and that gives the tiles the right feel when printed on the right kind of multipurpose labels.
I could never play with fan made expansion tiles printed on a laser printer, it doesn't feel right at all.
Printing on inkjet isn't even worth the label it's printed on.

And some fan made expansion tiles doesn't look right at all, so some I wouldn't print anyway, no matter how good the rules seem.
But for Treasure Hunt, the creator even made the tiles look better after I pointed it out, which he even credited me for in the acknowledgements.

Scott has written a great article on making tiles in the Workshop area of the forum.

Wicke, I can't see spending that much on a wax printer.

Andrew, thanks. I'm going to look at that now.

Wow!  Your message led me to learn about solid ink printers.  Really interesting!
