Round 4: Quevy vs Carcking
« on: June 21, 2014, 09:41:40 AM »
A draw for each one.
In the first game I'm starting player, the game is going well and the game is balanced, unfortunately the game is frozen, we can not move forward.

A knight is sworn to valour.
His heart knows only virtue.
His blade defends the helpless.
His might upholds the weak.
His word speaks only truth.
His wrath undoes the wicked.

Start a new game, carking immediately took the lead, I did not concentrate and do a lot of mistakes, the worst is to stay dry followers. I Carcking distances, all I can do is try to save the fields, but it is an impossible thing.

He played a flawless game, deserved victory.

The second game is in my favor, drawing tiles luckiest, mid-game I can complete the largest city in the lead by 2/1. Great duel for the field, I can connect 2 followers with the latest tiles and take the lead, while carcking not find the tile that is used to connect his.

Thanks for the report Quevy. How annoying that you couldn't finish your first game, and with just 14 tiles left to place as well!

I'm glad you managed to play your match in full despite the frustration of the game freezing. In some ways I suppose it was better that you felt it was well-balanced and could have gone either way as it would be even more annoying for whoever was winning it if it was obvious that one person had built up a clear lead.

I hope you enjoyed the other two games anyway. We will proceed with the next round straight away and I will announce the fixtures on Monday.

Well done to you both!

My apologies to all that the first game in this series hung.

Glad that the two excellent competitors were able to finish both games!

That was a good game quevy - I was on the edge of my seat, like the first game. I was kicking myself for not drawing the tile I needed to get in and share the big farm, but after looking at it now I realize just tying the big farm would not have been enough. You had me anyway. I had a chance earlier to block your big city but I passed on it because I needed the tile elsewhere. That was my undoing.

The first game (the one that froze) was too close to call. It would have come down to who drew what tiles to see if I could have taken the large farm from you.

Good match all around!
I just drew the perfect tile for my MonKnighThieFarmer!
