Hi, I maybe want to create a new league.
Let me know if you would like to participate and what kind of league most of you prefer. :)

Princess and Dragon on BGA?

I would love to play but it says Carcassonne is a premium game on BGA, do I need a premium account?

Any reason why this can't be played on JCZ like in the good old days? If so, I am in.

Maybe problem is that you can show points at and of the game or show fields of farmers.
But I have good news.
I spoke with @farin that we will implement protect to show points on end of game and farmers fields during the game if game creator will disable them.
Sedly I have to say, currently he is working on new client which shows game, it's awesome, but still issues to do, Then he will start with implementing network play.

There is no reason not to play with JCZ, it's easy to install and works good O0

P&D sounds good fun to me. Perhaps we could add in the Count just for Halfling?

Yeah sure. I have not downloaded latest jcz. The version needed should be stipulated if we are sticking to that platform.
A premium member on BGA can invite a non premium member to play Carcassonne.

How about going on with our expansion leagues? As well as I remember the last one we played was the BCB (or the Minis?) league*, but since then farin included expansions 6 and 9 into JCZ as well.

Actually, it was so long ago that I already forgot about it. I have more vivid memories about some more recent painful defeats at BGA tournaments... :)

I saw your result against the Romanian team :(
The UK lost 3 - 2 against Netherlands. I too lost the first game of my duel by 1 point but fortunately I was able to win the next 2 games to pull it back and win the duel.
Still, it's all good fun. I'm looking forward to getting back on the commentary team next week 8) :(y)

Yes, it's mainly for fun of course but in the same time you have to take it a bit more seriously since you represent a country in a competition (even if this is certainly not the Olympic Games).

Been a bit busy, but reading back all the comments I see a move closer to a new tournament with expansions :))
Should it be big or small expansions? or just everyone can chose one (big or small) that is playable in JCZ?

We don't really incur any costs due to servers as our Carcassonne Central tournaments have traditionally been played using JCloisterZone. Boardgame Arena is a nice alternative although it does incur a small monthly cost to become a premium user and you need at least one premium user at a table in order to start the game. €50 might be a little pricey for most people...

Gotcha. I'll look forward to a 2021 league in whatever fashion it emerges. In the meantime, I'll have to look over JCloisterZone and see if it works on Mac - :pink-meeple:

It would be real-time based. As in you have one / two weeks to play your match for the current round. If you decide to play it as a turn-based one on for example BGA (you may do it if your opponent wants that to).
But it would be a bit to much, looking to the past, to do it in one day ;)
